I still understand the appeal of it, especially for small budget devs. I think UE4 is pretty overrated, but that's just my opinion. The issue does not exist as much on consoles. I don't know enough about game to development to know what those workarounds are, but it's Epic's problem for sure. Some developers figured out workarounds that made the stuttering go away on their games. Digital Foundry has covered this extensively. On the other hand, UE4 is known to have stutter issues on all PC operating systems. Regarding the Steam Deck and Linux, DXVK, if this game uses DX11, has to cache the shaders when you first run the game. Rockstar put out an RDR2 update but then there was a crashing issue on Steam Deck and Valve fixed it, apparently by changing something in SteamOS and/or Proton. So all games with Unreal 4 have this issue regardless of platform? Or is it maybe Linux specific?īecause if it's just on Steam Deck or Linux in general it seems that Valve would be able to figure out something on the stuff they do control like they did with the recent RDR2 fix. Oh, I thought it only happened on Steam Deck. By visiting various planets and aiding (or defeating) their denizens, you aim to save Earth from annihilation. It’s an isometric action RPG published by Team17 where you play as the Keeper of Balance controlling the powers of the Sun and Moon. Only permanent fix would be for the devs to por the game to a completely new engine, and that's not gonna happen unfortunately. Batora Lost Haven Free Download GAMESPACK.NET Batora: Lost Haven is an odd title. Well, Valve has nothing to do with the Unreal Engine 4 stuttering.
